Global Rights Work in Colombia

In partnership with local organizations, Global Rights supports activists by building their advocacy and legal skills to effectively use the Inter-American and United Nations human rights procedures in their efforts to combat racial discrimination. Global Rights also partners with a coalition of human rights and advocacy organizations from the United States and Colombia to raise awareness of the plight of Afro-Colombians in the U.S. Global Rights does this through: lobbying on Capitol Hill; organizing the academic community; mobilizing grassroots constituencies; engaging religious and student organizations in solidarity campaigns; and conducting human rights advocacy at the regional and international levels.
